Arrive in San Francisco and enjoy two nights in The Beautiful City on the Bay. We've included a Bike The Golden Gate Bridge excursion on day two. On this self-guided excursion, you'll travel along San Francisco's stunning waterfront, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and cruise into the picturesque seaside towns of Sausalito & Tiburon before you hop on the ferry back to San Francisco. Don't forget your camera, the views of 'Frisco from across the bay are fabulous. On day two you'll also have time to visit Alcatraz, ride the historic trams and stroll through Fisherman's Wharf.

Collect your car and drive north over the Golden Gate Bridge with a stop at the Golden Gate View Vista Point, offering some of the best views of the city on the Bay. The road then twists and climbs presenting some spectacular vantage points. Stop off at Muir Woods known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. It’s the perfect place for a picnic lunch.
Your journey continues through the rolling hills and vineyards of Napa and Sonoma. Until you reach your destination for the evening Lake Tahoe. One of the largest freshwater Lakes in North America, Lake Tahoe straddles the border between Nevada and California. Boasting 300 days of sunshine, the area is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Lounge on the beach, kayak, hike or enjoy the views from the mountain gondola.

Mammoth; the name says it all. Surrounded by 2.2 million acres of national forest, Mammoth Lakes is a California premier 4 season alpine destination. World-class lodging and restaurants await, as well as outlet shopping and is in close proximity to Yosemite National Park, Mono Lake State Park, and Bodie, California's official ghost town. Summer activities include hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, climbing, hot air ballooning, kayaking, horseback riding, off-road touring, and the best high altitude training in the country. Heading north today your first stop will be Mono Lake. Formed over 760,000 years ago, the scene is unearthly and will provide a delightfully buoyant swim. In fact, old-timers claim that a soak in the lake will cure almost anything! Your journey continues over the Tioga mountain pass through the Sierra Nevada's climbing an elevation of over 10,000 feet. The views overlooking Yosemite Valley will be incredible as this is the highest highway pass in California.
Spend the next few days exploring the sights. Consider a hike to Glacier Point, known as the Panorama Trail. This 8.5-mile hike takes in two of Yosemite’s most spectacular hikes, Glacier Point and the Mist Trail. There’s also the option to cycle around Yosemite Valley and enjoy the outstanding scenery from another perspective. Or simply enjoy reading a book in the glorious California sunshine on the banks of the Merced River.
