The famous Nashville Sound comes alive this morning as RCA Studio B reveals the legends of Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves and Roy Orbison. Dive into Culture and gain insights into the life and music of Johnny Cash during a private performance of original Cash tunes with one of Johnny's family members. Your acoustic journey continues with a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to see Elvis' Solid Gold Cadillac limousine and Jim Reeves' tuxedo jacket. The evening is set aside for a performance at the Grand Ole Opry, home of America's longest-running live radio program and a Nashville absolute must-do!
We head for the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll and meet a musician and Local Specialist amidst the sounds of Blues on Beale Street. This afternoon, continue your sightseeing with a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum, home to the former Lorraine Motel, where civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. This evening enjoy a Regional Dinner of Southern cuisine.
Pay a visit to Sun Studios, which sought to immortalise the raw energy of Beale Street, recording the first Rock 'n' Roll single in 1951. Then worship at the altar of the King and head to Graceland, paying tribute to a man who changed the face of American popular music and culture. Visit the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum before you follow the path of the famous Natchez Trace scenic road. Arrive Natchez on the banks of the Mississippi surrounded by antebellum homes and enjoy a taste of southern hospitality this evening with a hosted meal at one of the region's beautiful historic private homes.
En route to The Big Easy you'll visit the historic Frogmore Plantation where you'll be guided by costumed hosts and learn all about the 'white gold' of the Mississippi Delta region. The property boasts over 18 restored antebellum structures dating from the early 1800's.
