Whitefish and Kalispell Holidays
30 miles southwest of the town of Glacier and 15 miles north of the stunning Flathead Lake (the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi) lies the fairly large village of Kalispell. It’s the closest place to Glacier National Park that you’ll get to stay. Snow capped mountains surround the town and crystal clear lakes are only minutes away.
Only 17 miles north of Kalispell is the resort and lumber village of Whitefish. Hacked out of the surrounding thick forest and set on the south shore of beautiful Whitefish Lake, it’s a delightful place to stay. Enjoy bike rides along the narrow roads that hug the lake, and stop for a picnic in this picture perfect location.
