"Hands down, my favourite fly-drive holiday was the Cool California Coast Tour along scenic Highway 1. Each of the seaside towns we visited were lively and great fun. I loved watching the surfers, I even did a bit of whale watching. Starting the tour with a stay on the Queen Mary was fascinating, when I got to San Francisco I didn't want it to end, so I carried on up the coast and spent a few days in Northern California too."

"One of my favourite fly-drive holidays is our Contrasting Utah and Colorado tour. The mix of the lush, Colorado alpine scenery with the flaming desert colours of Utah is amazing. I'm a big cowboy and western fan, so I loved my stay in Gouldings Lodge in Monument Valley. In your room you can watch movies of the famous westerns filmed in this area!"

"Over my years here I've clocked up visits to 42 states, my most memorable trip was our Oregon and Washington Tour. I loved the miles and miles of wilderness, the rugged coast with its uncrowded beaches and the lack of Brits (!) But the highlight was Crater Lake National Park, I will never forget the view from the terrace of the historic Crater Lake Lodge. I stayed here for a couple of nights and spent most of my time sitting on the terrace and taking in the jaw-dropping views over the incredible crater....it was magical."

The Grand West Tour fly-drive holiday is the one for me as it includes all my favourite places in the USA.....Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Lakes, Palm Springs and Vegas! I love the fact that I can be up a mountain skiing in the morning and by the afternoon I can be strolling along the Vegas Strip or swimming in a plush pool in any number of the chic hotels in Palm Springs. When I book this fly drive for clients I always recommend that they extend their stay and spend time in Lake Tahoe too.

"Route 66 definitely needs to be on the "have to do before you die" list. The slices of Americana, the open road and 8 states - there is just no fly drive that gives you the same glimpse into life in the US. I recommend the Deluxe Tour , but am happy to tailor make to suit your own needs." I did it by RV!

"You've got to check out the hotels on our Fairmont Experience Tour fly-drive holiday of eastern Canada. I couldn't believe I was staying in 5 star hotels for the price of 3 star! My favourite city on this tour was Quebec, I loved strolling around old town in the evening. During the fly-drive holiday I even had time to take in thundering Niagara Falls and whale watching in Tadoussac. I'm a secret snob, I loved returning to my luxurious hotel each evening.."

Excellent, knowledgable friendly staff. They know the USA so well that I suspect that Christopher Columbus used them in 1492.
