Near Grand Junction in the west is the splendour of Colorado National Monument. Here you can explore eleven winding canyons as well as monolithic rocks, some bright red, others soft and sandy, blaze in the setting sun.

This 20,000 acre site can be explored by foot, but we recommend you take the scenic Rim Rock Drive for easier views.
