The sleepy Eastern Shore port town of Cambridge is the county seat of Dorchester County.  Settled in 1684 and one of the oldest communities in the state there are many historic homes here.  Attractions include several maritime museums and the Skipjack Nathan, a traditional Chesapeake Bay skipjack built to preserve the nautical heritage of the area.  The Skipjack, berthed at Long Wharf Park at the end of High Street, offers sailing cruises and educational programmes.
