The Oregon Film Trail is a series of markers placed at significant filming locations throughout the state, recognising Oregon's contribution to filmmaking since the early 1900s. The Trail connects communities and retells stories of Oregon's rich history. The signs are placed in strategic points to showcase iconic and interesting film locations and to link the film/TV industry, economic development, and tourism. Brownsville, Oregon was officially unveiled as a film location in the Historic Oregon Film Trail featuring signage at key locations featuring facts and anecdotes about the film Stand By Me. Visitors can take a self-guided tour looking at original filming locations.
