Valley Forge National Historical Park

PA Valley forge Washingtons quarters.jpg

The rolling hills and beautiful landscapes of the 3,500 acre Valley Forge National Historical Park provide insight into the great historical impact this area had on the Revolutionary War. Though no battles were fought here, more than 1,700 soliders perished during the winter of 1777-1778.   The original stone building which served as Washington's headquarters has been restored and is open daily.  Log huts have been reconstructed throughout the park, and statues and monuments honour those who served here.

Why not take a self-guided or scheduled tour on a scenic drive through the park, or explore the ten miles of horse trails, and six miles of multi-use trails that wend throughout the park’s rolling hillsides.
