The three and a half mile sandy beach has a real Southern Californian surfer beach feel to it. The sandy bottom and relatively shallow waters make it an ideal spot for a dip. The beach is open year round every day from 9:00 a.m. Closing times vary depending on season.
If you want to catch a wave, the best times of year for surfing are winter and spring. For windsurfers, the prevailing north westerly winds is best in the afternoon.
