Broadway is home to forty-one theatres, but only three are actually located on Broadway itself - the rest are located on the numbered cross streets. What makes a theatre a Broadway theatre? Capacity! Typically, the distinction is for venues with seating of at least 500. Smaller theatres are referred to as off-Broadway, regardless of location, while the very smallest (less than 100 seats) are off-off-Broadway.
Bon Voyage top tip - if there is a show you are absolutely keen to see - book it in advance. If you just want the experience, but don't mind the show, we can recommend a number of discount ticket outlets you can check during your visit.
