Experience two of the USA’s most scenic states, Colorado and Utah, on an 8-day luxury rail/motorcoach holiday.
Your adventure begins in the 'Mile High' city of Denver, Colorado. Explore this capital city, known for having 300 days of sunshine, against one of the most amazing of backdrops - the Rocky Mountains! The section of mountains nearest to Denver is called the Front Range and the most prominent peaks include Pikes Peak, Mount Evans and Longs Peak.
Then it’s time to board the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer for two days of extraordinary service and scenery. Sit back and enjoy the show.....majestic snow-capped mountains, vast canyons and colourful desert landscapes will provide the entertainment on your way to Moab - the heart of America's Canyonlands Country.
From Moab, your adventure continues by motorcoach through Utah and Nevada - finishing in Las Vegas. Just when you think the scenery couldn’t possibly get any better you discover Utah's 'Mighty Five' National Parks. Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion.....names and images you’ve seen on television and the cinema a hundred times, now up close and personal. Sunrises and sunsets like you’ve never seen before. We promise, this holiday will stay with you for a very long time.
Take a sneak peek of the adventure that awaits you.......
You’ll soon discover, there is alot more to Denver than an amazing backdrop. It is one impressive city, full of interesting neighbourhoods and people, must-do attractions and a superb array of year-round events.
The hip and historic district is found in lower downtown, referred to as LoDo, and has the country's highest concentration of Victorian buildings. It is also full of quirky shops, brewhouses, cafes and al fresco dining. Stroll around the museum of Contemporary Art or the Colorado History museum, visit the U.S. Mint or the "Unsinkable Molly Brown" House. Or, head for High Tea at the palatial Brown Palace Hotel. This gem of a hotel opened its doors in 1892 and has hosted countless Presidents and gold-hunters heading to seek their fortune in the mountains. Every month of the year, there are festivals and activities taking place - most open to the public and free of charge.
