Welcome to Hawaii. In the traditional Aloha spirit, you'll be greeted at the airport with a flower lei. Get settled in your hotel in the heart of Waikiki Beach where you'll spend four nights. This evening gather for a Hawaiian-style Welcome Reception with your Travel Director and fellow travelers.
Before breakfast, take a walk on Waikiki Beach and be mesmerised by all early morning surfers hoping to catch a wave.
After breakfast - you'll enjoy views of Diamond Head then follow along the scenic windward coast of Oahu heading to Oahu's North Shore, another legendary spot amongst surfers for its huge waves. Then cross the island to return to Waikiki, where the rest of the day is yours.
Begin your day with a visit to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial, a moving tribute to the military personnel who lost their lives in the 1941 attack that launched the U.S. into World War II. After a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific located in Punchbowl Crater, return to downtown Honolulu to see the splendid Iolani Palace, the iconic King Kamehameha I statue, and the state capitol building. Spend the rest of the afternoon on your own.
Your morning begins with a short, scenic flight to the Big Island of Hawaii arriving in the charming town of Hilo. Grab a spot of lunch at your leisure then it's on to the UNESCO listed Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and two of the world's most active volcanoes - Kīlauea and Mauna Loa. Then continue along the coast to Punalu’u Beach park, famous for its black sand and Hawaiian green sea turtles.
During your three nights on the Big Island, you're second day is free to explore on your own and your third day you'll learn about the giant manta rays that come to the Kona shores to feed each day. These mobula alfredi manta rays are the second largest in the world. Visiting the Hawaii Sea Salt farm you'll learn about the importance of Salt in Hawaiian culture and discover how Salt is produced from the deep ocean water. Then it's off to the unique coffee plantation of Kona Joe where the world's best coffee is grown and roasted.
Your final evening on Big Island is one of Hawaii's most memorable experiences - the wonderful tradition of the Hawaiian Luau. Enjoy the show + dinner featuring local flavors and tropical cocktails.
Next stop, the beautiful island of Maui. On arrival, enjoy a trip to a local sustainable farm in the high country of Maui. Have a delicious and healthy lunch with wine before heading to your resort on stunning Kaanapali beach. As the sun sets over the Pacific, take a gentle stroll to nearby Whalers Village or venture into old town Lahaina.
Your second day in Maui is yours to explore. In the evening, join your new friends for a local dinner.
A leisurely morning on the Valley Isle sees us catch our flight to Kauai where we’ll spend the next three nights admiring extraordinary feats of nature.
Day two visit Grove Farm, a beautifully preserved one hundred acre homestead in the center of Lihue that includes the original plantation main house, owner’s cottage and guest cottage. Drive through the island's famous Tunnel of Trees and continue to Waimea Canyon State Park, one of the Hawaiian Islands most awe-inspiring sites - dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific."
Later we make a stop at Spouting Horn blowhole, one of the most photographed spots on Kauai.
Day three is a full day at leisure. Take to the skies on a helicopter flight over the Na Pali Coast and Manawaiopuna Falls or just simply enjoy your surroundings. As it's your final night - join your travel companions for a Farewell Dinner.
A hui hou until we meet again. Take your transfer to the airport or extend your stay on Kauai. This is the end of your escorted tour but it doesn't have to be the end of your adventure. Perhaps you may want to extend your stay and spend a few day in Los Angeles or maybe include a stop-over in New York before you head back to the UK.
