Start the day with an orientation tour of New York City, viewing Battery Park, Times Square, the mighty Empire State Building and beautiful Central Park. Leaving the city, travel south to Philadelphia for a visit to the award-winning National Constitution Center and the Liberty Bell Center, home of the Liberty Bell. View Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, before continuing to Washington DC, the nation’s capital. Your highlight today is a cruise aboard the Maid of the Mist, which takes you through the churning waters past American and Bridal Veil Falls and into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of Horseshoe Falls. Later, travel across the Niagara Peninsula and stop at picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake before continuing on to Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes.
