An oasis of natural tranquility, the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden is the only frost-free tropical moist forest garden in the continental United States.

Founded in the 1930s and maintained by volunteers, this 15-acre garden is just off US Highway 1 near the entrance to Key West.

It features ,more than 6,000 plants and trees-including tropical fruit trees, native fragrant plants, native palms, champion trees, tropical spices and local herbs. Plus it provides a habitat for 35 butterfly species and more than 270 migratory bird species.
