North Cascades National Park is located in Washington State and runs right up the border with British Columbia in Canada. One lone road, the North Cascades Highway, crosses the spine of the Cascades in the hundred-mile stretch from Canada to the central Washington Cascades—and it's open only May to November.

Whilst it may be difficult to get there, once you arrive you will find some of the best of America's big outdoors—spectacular hikes, abundant wildlife and wonderful unspoiled scenery.
