Day 1 : Whitehorse Arrival

Upon arrival in Whitehorse pick up of your rental car and drive to the hotel. Overnight Whitehorse.

Day 2 : Whitehorse to Mayo

Today it's time to hit the road, take the incredible Klondike Highway west towards Dawson City. From Minto there is a possible side trip to the abandoned community Fort Selkirk. At the intersection with the Silver Trail Highway drive towards Mayo and Keno City. Spend time exploring the old silver mining cities. Overnight Mayo.

Day 3 : Mayo to Dawson City

Drive the Silver Trail and Klondike Highway west towards Dawson City. You'll partly follow the path of the impressive Yukon River. Overnight Dawson City.

Day 4 : Dawson City & Sightseeing

Try your luck at gold pannig today as you spend time exploring the Klondike goldfields. A guided tour of Goldbottom Mine is a must-do experience. In the evening enjoy the old gold rush atmosphere of  historic Dawson City.  Overnight Dawson City

Day 5 : Dawson City to Beaver Creek

Cross the Yukon River by state ferry and drive the Top of the World Highway towards Tok. Weather permitting, you'll experience stunning views of far reaching countryside from the Top of the World Highway. Head next towards the Taylor Highway to the Alaska Highway. At the intersection with the Alaska Highway continue east towards Beaver Creek, Canada.

The small town of Beaver Creek is a remote outpost in the Yukon very near to the Alaskan border. It's home to the White River First Nations tribe. Throughout the year this area offers an abundance of outdoor activities including snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in winter and excellent hiking in the warmer months.

Day 6 : Enjoy Beaver Creek & Kluane National Park

Drive the Alaska Highway along the Kluane Lake to Haines Junction. Surrounded by dramatic scenery, this pretty mountain village is nestled at the edge of the Kluane National Park and Reserve of Canada. Overnight Haines Junction.

Day 7 : Spend the day exploring Kluane National Park

Haines Junction is a good starting point to do guided hikes, flightseeing tours, rafting tours or mountain bike tours into Kluane National Park. The informative Visitor Center here will provide suggestions for a day of exciting activities. Overnight Haines Junction.

Day 8 : Kluane National Park to Haines

Drive the Haines Highway along the perimeter of Kluane National Park towards Haines. Just 20 miles before Haines the highway leads through the Chilkat Valley and its Bald eagle preserve.

This 48,000 acre Preserve that spans over the Chilkat, Kleheni and Tsirku Rivers was established to protect and perpetuate the world's largest concentration of Bald Eagles and their critical habitat. It also sustains and protects the natural salmon runs. Overnight Haines.

Day 9 : Take the ferry from Haines to Skagway

Today take the Alaska Marine Highway ferry from Haines to the old gold rush city of Skagway. Overnight Skagway.

Day 10 : A Day in Skagway

Today is a free day for you to explore Skagway, the gateway to the Klondike. This historical city, surrounded by a vast wilderness, has retained much of its gold rush atmosphere. The old part of town has been preserved and is now the Klondike Goldrush National Historical Park. Here you find original buildings from 1897.  Overnight Skagway.

Day 11 : Skagway to Marsh Lake

Today you drive the Klondike Highway north towards Whitehorse and to Marsh Lake. On your way you will pass by the small community Carcross, Carcross desert (said to be the smallest desert in the world) and beautiful Emerald Lake. Nearby Spirit Lake is also worth a stop too. For the next two nights you will stay at the first class style Inn on the Lake. During your stay at the Inn on the Lake breakfast and dinner is included.

Day 12 : Relax for the day at Marsh Lake

Today you have time to kayak, canoe, hike, mountain bike or just to relax in this beautiful and peaceful setting. Overnight Marsh Lake.

Day 13 : Explore Whitehorse

Today you will drive to Whitehorse and have some more time to explore the capital of the Yukon. Whitehorse has it all, wilderness on its back door and a town full of modern conveniences. Known as Wilderness City, a series of hiking trails surrounds the capital. During the summer month the city hosts many superb festivals. Overnight Whitehorse.

Day 14 : Whitehorse Departure

Today is the last day and your flight back to the UK, however your adventure doens't have to end here. Perhap syou may want to extendyour stay and explore more of Canada and its popular cities or maybe you would like to include a trip to somewhere in the USA before flying back home.
