This is it. THE ultimate motorbike adventure. Journey coast to coast through nine states and explore 3,459 miles of incredibly diverse scenery in just over two weeks. On this epic motorbike adventure from Los Angeles to Daytona Beach you’ll ride through high deserts, never-ending plains and discover quirky, tucked away American towns.
This self-guided tour departs six times a year and you can choose to set off each day with your fellow holiday companions or blaze your own trail. You'll be supplied with daily routes and itineraries, plus there is a support vehicle on hand for mechanical issues, refreshments and transport of your luggage.

Day 2 : Los Angeles - Palm Springs, California
Distance: 180 miles
Transfer from your hotel to the motorbike depot and kick off your coast to coast adventure with a three-mile ride along the scenic Pacific Coast. Then you'll travel south to pick up the famous twisting Ortega Highway. As you travel east away from the ocean, the temperature will slowly rise and the terrain becomes arid and rocky. If you adore hairpin turns, sparsely populated mountain scenery and infamous watering holes, you'll be in your element. Arrive in the chic desert oasis of Palm Springs in time for a cool margarita and a dip in the pool.
Day 3 : Palm Springs - Kingman, Arizona
Distance: 240 miles
Ride through stark desert landscapes today on your journey to Joshua Tree National Park before picking up legendary Route 66 and discovering the quirky Old West town of Oatman, Arizona.
Your overnight stay is in Kingman, located right in the centre of the longest continuous remaining stretch of Route 66. It's a fun town with a thriving spirit and an interesting historic downtown area.
Days 4 : Kingman - Lakeside, Arizona
Distance: 350 miles
It's a long riding day today, but worth it. Continue along Route 66 through sleepy and deserted towns. Be sure to stop at Seligman and the famous Snow Cap Drive Inn. You'll have the option today of turning south and exploring the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, or heading further along Route 66 via Twin Arrows and Two Guns to Winslow, Arizona. Your overnight stay is in Lakeside, an alpine setting, on the edge of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
Day 5 : Lakeside - Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
Distance: 254 miles
In the 1950's there was a popular American game show called 'Truth or Consequences'. When the show advertised for a town to change its name to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Hot Springs, New Mexico won the honour. It divided the town and many still grumble about it today. Truth or Consequences is also renowned for it's surprisingly odourless hot springs. After your ride today through the rugged terrain of the Gila National Forest, head for the Hot Springs Bathhouse Historic District for a soak in the thermal hot waters that flow from a rift in the Rio Grande.
Day 6 : Truth or Consequences - Roswell, New Mexico
Distance: 255 miles
It's a scenic highway and wide open spaces all the way today through southern New Mexico via Radium Springs, Organ and the White Sands National Monument to Roswell. Make time to visit the International UFO Museum and Research Centre here. The museums mission is to educate the general public on all aspects of UFO phenomena.
Days 7/8 : Roswell - Big Bend National Park, Texas
Distance: 299 miles
An early start is recommended today as you'll want to explore New Mexico's Carlsbad Caverns, one of the oldest and most famous cave systems in the world, before you arrive in Big Bend National Park, Texas. You'll enjoy two nights in the park allowing you a whole day to explore its splendid isolation. Carved out by the Rio Grande and covering 1,252 of square miles, hiking, ATV tours and horseback rides are available in the park if you'd like a different mode of transport for a few hours!
Day 9 : Big Bend - Del Rio, Texas
Distance: 250 miles
You'll leave behind the stark beauty of Big Bend today and skirt the USA/Mexico border. Expect remote, wide open roads with little passing traffic, virtually no towns and endless skies today on your ride to Del Rio. Located just a mile from the Rio Grande, the town is a blend of American and Mexican culture. Head for the pristine creek-fed swimming pools to cool down, or check out some of the oldest Native American cave paintings in North America.
Day 10 : Del Rio - Austin, Texas
Distance: 235 miles
You're in for a real contrast today as you swap sleepy Del Rio for one of Texas's most lively towns - Austin. This vibrant city is the Live Music Capital of the World and boasts 250 music venues which will suit all tastes. If you have your heart set on visiting nearby San Antonio instead, the Support Driver, can arrange this for you. Want to party tonight? You're in the right city for it. Be sure to meet your fellow travellers in the evening for the famous Austin pub crawl.
Day 11 : Austin - Lake Charles, Louisiana
Distance: 300 miles
Today is all about riding the back roads of Texas before you head into Louisiana and Cajun Country. Your stop for tonight is Lake Charles, a fun town with a lively strip lined with casinos, restaurants and every type of tavern you can imagine. There are also some pretty cool museums here too, one of them houses the largest display of Mardi Gras costumes in the world. Don't forget to sample the local Creole and Cajun cuisine. Crawfish, blue crab, shrimp and alligator are the order of the day in this part of Louisiana.
Days 12/13 : Lake Charles - New Orleans, Louisiana
Distance: 319 miles
You'll experience a taste of Bayou life today as you cruise along the Rockefeller and Bayou Teche National Wildlife Refuges before rolling into The Big Easy. New Orleans is a melting pot of culture, food and music and one of America's most culturally and historically-rich cities. Park up the bike, as the city is best explored on foot, by street car or horse-drawn carriage. Your Support Driver will be happy to make suggestions for must-do excursions and places to eat.
If you you fancy a night out in the lively French Quarter, be sure to meet your group on the first evening. Alternatively, dine in one of the restaurants along historic Jackson Square or enjoy an evening Mississippi Jazz River Cruise.
Day 14 : New Orleans - Panama City Beach
Distance: 300 miles
Hit the road today and travel along the Gulf Coast of America from Louisiana via Mississippi and Alabama to Florida and beautiful Panama City Beach. Enjoy the breeze from the Gulf of Mexico as you skirt powder-white sand beaches, gaze over crystal clear seas as you ride through beach communities to an area of Florida known as the 'Emerald Coast'. Take a dip in the sea and relax on the sand before enjoying a bucket of shrimp and a cold beer under the Florida sun this evening.
Day 15 : Panama City Beach - Cedar Key, Florida
Distance: 145 miles
Continue cruising along the Panhandle region of Florida's Gulf Coast and enjoy the views out to sea before you encounter the state's largest forest, Apalachicola National Forest. Known for its botanical beauty, rivers, lakes and natural springs, this is a striking area of Florida, largely undiscovered by European travellers. Your overnight stay tonight is Cedar Key, a tranquil, tiny enclave and a National Wildlife Refuge.
Day 16 : Cedar Key - Daytona Beach, Florida
Distance: 145 miles
You'll complete your coast to coast road trip today as you ride from the west coast of Florida to the east coast and world-famous Daytona Beach with 23 miles of hard-packed sand perfect for fun in the sun. Also be sure to visit Daytona International Speedway and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
Day 17 : Daytona Beach - Orlando, Florida
