Arrive in time for the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, or the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in early December - a world-wide symbol of the start of the holidays. Or, wait until January and soak up the new year sales. Enjoy ice skating, a bundled up carriage ride in Central Park and a Broadway show before starting your scenic train journey along the Hudson River to the stunning winter
wonderland of Vermont.

Days 1 - 3 : New York

Arrive in NYC early afternoon and transfer to your hotel for a 3 night stay. Who can resist a bite of the Big Apple at any time, but seeing it in the winter will be a very special experience. You have two full days to lap up the excitement of Christmas shopping. Don’t miss The Holiday Walk, a stretch of Fifth Avenue with the most spectacular winter window displays as the department stores celebrate the season. Visit Top of the Rock with some of the most stunning views of New York City. Throw on some ice skates and glide around Rockefeller Center or bundle up and enjoy a brisk walk through Central Park. To top off your stay, treat yourself to a Broadway show or maybe Radio City Musical Hall's Christmas Spectacular featuring the legendary Rockettes.

Days 4 - 7 : Vermont & Mountain Top Inn

Depart NYC in the afternoon by the Ethan Allen Express train to Rutland, Vermont. Relax and enjoy the views of the Hudson River Valley and Vermont’s farms and villages. Upon arrival you will be collected by the owners of Mountain Top Inn. Located in quaint Chittenden, the winter wonderland setting is 350 acres of breath-taking views of the Green Mountain National Forest.

Experience Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, a traditional sleigh ride and ice skating. Breakfast and dinner are included during your stay and Mountain Top Inn pride themselves on the freshly prepared sumptuous cuisine. The Mountain Top tavern offers a relaxed atmosphere to sip a Vermont micro brew, wine or signature cocktail all cosied up to the roaring fireplace.

Day 8 : New York

Depart this morning for your return train journey back to New York and your flight home.
