You'll be collected from your Vancouver hotel for your 7.30am boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station.
Onboard the Rocky Mountaineer you'll travel in extreme comfort from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you dine on gourmet cuisine and enjoy fine wines, you'll gaze out and view dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.
Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and arrives into the town normally between 6pm - 7pm.

You'll be collected from your hotel early morning for your 7.30am departure on the Rocky Mountaineer from Kamloops station.
You'll enjoy a tasty breakfast and lunch onboard as your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will be surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide.
Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, at 12,972 feet the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park.
The rail adventure part of your guided tour comes to an end this evening between 7:30pm and 9:00pm in the pretty mountain town of Jasper.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jasper National Park is the Canadian Rockies’ largest national park. Today you will enjoy a scenic half-day tour of some of the park’s natural attractions and rugged peaks, and if you're lucky you'll also get a glimpse of the various wildlife that call this park home. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Jasper at your own pace..

Travel to Canada's oldest national park, Banff, via one of the most truly scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway.
A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn more about is geological features. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features.
There will be time available here for lunch on your own before we head off for a quick stop at pretty Bow Lake, and legendary Lake Louise, before we arrive into Banff later this afternoon.

Your day begins with a tour of the natural wonders of Yoho National Park where you'll view the Spiral Tunnels, sparkling Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River.
The tour comes to an end in Lake Louise around 1pm. You've got the afternoon to explore this stunning location, take a stroll around the shore or enjoy a splendid High Tea, complete with lake views, in the hotel. (not included).

It's a full day of scenic touring today before you arrive in the western town of Calgary.
Your day kicks off with a sightseeing tour of Banff and includes visits to Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. A highlight is sure to be a ride on the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain where you'll enjoy sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains.
Continuing on your tour in Kananaskis, you'll hop on a 12-minute panoramic helicopter ride where you'll experience a remarkable birds eye view of the extraordinary Rockies landscape.
Your tour ends on arrival in Calgary late this afternoon.
