Whilst there are many re-creations of Stonehenge around the world, this has to be one of the most impressive.
The creator of this car sculpture, Jim Reinders, lived in the UK for a while and had chance to study the original. When his father passed away in 1982 he and his family decided to build this enormous monument in his father’s memory. It comprises 38 cars, painted grey and arranged in the same pattern as Stonehenge.
It has been reported that the town inhabitants wanted to have the sculpture removed but any animosity seems to have been forgotten with signs on the outskirts of town now proudly announcing Alliance as the "Home of Carhenge."
