You will be collected from your Las Vegas hotel after breakfast and transferred to the motorhome depot where the friendly staff will show you around your motorhome and answer any questions you may have. It's then time to hit the road. On route to your first stop in Kingman, known as The Heart of Route 66, be sure to take a paddle steamer cruise on Lake Mead and a tour of the passageways deep in the bowels of Hoover Dam. Completed in 1935 this dam was the largest in the world at the time, now this National Historic Landmark stores enough water to irrigate 2 million acres and is a major tourist attraction.
At an elevation of 3,300 feet, Kingman is a charming nostalgic Route 66 town crammed with historic buildings and quirky Route 66 attractions. Pop into Mr. D'z 1950's Route 66 Diner for a chilled Root Beer and huge ice cream sundae before you hook up for the evening.
