Santa Fe, Route 66 - New Mexico
True fans of the full of the Route 66 holiday, and anyone interested in the art and architecture of the American Southwest, will want to make a detour to the state capital of New Mexico, Sante Fe. The original Route 66 alignment ran north of Albuquerque, the best sense of this old route comes just north of Albuquerque in historic Bernalillo which is linked to the Spanish colonies some 400 years ago. Here be sure to visit funky Silva's Saloon for a cold beer and stylish Range Cafe for amazing, and we mean amazing, Mexican food..
As I have not been on holiday yet the following comments relate only to setting up the holiday. Monica my Bon Voyage contact could not be more helpful, she has sorted out any queries I have had and is very friendly and efficient.
