Day 1-3 Arrive Boston
Arrive Boston mid afternoon for 3 night stay in this delightful city.
Unique amongst American cities in being steeped in history on a European scale, Boston is a pleasing blend of the old and the new. We recommend you start your holiday with the "Freedom Trail", a three-mile long red-lined route taking in the sights of Old Boston.
Contemporary city life is captured at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, enlivened by clowns and magicians. The busy city streets can be avoided by taking the "T" subway to get around and we suggest a visit to the fascinating Kennedy Library and Museum.
If you are lucky enough to be in Boston during the whale watching season (Apr-Nov) then do stroll down to the harbour and hop on one of the many boats trips available from here. You won't regret it. Be sure to check out the "Cheers" Bar and take a ride on the Swan Boats in charming Boston Common too..
Love shopping? Then we have a treat in store in for you...Boston allows TAX_FREE SHOPPING on clothes and shoes....
Interested in Witch History of the 1600's? Then you'll love the picturesque little town of Salem where the famous Witch Trails took place.
Days 4-5 Arrive New York
Depart Boston mid morning to journey to New York
Who can resist a bite of the Big Apple? Buildings that soar, streets like canyons, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, the sweeping Hudson River.
Here, shopping, eating and entertainment are on tap 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can catch the latest Broadway musical, visit some of the world's great museums; shop till you drop, eat your way round the world from Algiers to Tokyo or coo over a cluster of Faberge eggs.
New York is vibrant, safe and booming and whether you're eight or eighty it will captivate and amaze you.
Train Journey:4 hrs
Days 6-8 Arrive Washington DC
Board your morning rail service to Washington D.C passing through Philadelphia and Baltimore en-route (want to break your journey in Philadelphia and explore it's historic Square Mile, the Liberty Bell or Amish Country? Call Bon Voyage, we can include this in the trip)
Welcome to America's capital! Washington, DC is a cosmopolitan capital city, packed with many famous sights and free attractions and home to some of the world's best-known museums and galleries, including the Smithsonian Institution, and the International Spy Museum.
We love the trolley tours that operate daily throughout the city, if you are really energetic hop on one of the bike tours of the major attractions, better still take a tour of the city at night when all the famous monuments and statues are lit up.
Combine this with hip new restaurants and bars, stunning hotels, great nightlife, live music, theatres, charming neighbourhoods and terrific shopping options and you have a fantastic few days here!
