Elbow Beach has a century old history and is today still one of the places to stay on any visit to Bermuda.
Built in 1908, the 235 room hotel was Bermuda’s first world class property. The resort lies in a 50 acre landscaped estate which slopes down to a ½ mile private beach and reef with a shipwreck. Bermuda’s traditional architecture of pastel painted limestone exteriors with the white-tiered roofs is reflected in the four storey main building, the cottage colony and Royal Suites.
The hotel main building houses 131 guest rooms which have all been recently renovated to a very high standard. The cottage colony of 104 rooms offers a classic Bermuda experience with private patios opening to grassy lawns and with easy access to the beach. The half mile long beach has powdery pink sand with uniformed attendants to serve your every need with chilled face towels, water and lotion. The full size swimming pool offers an excellent alternative to the beach.
On property there are three excellent restaurants and three bars and lounges. The Seahorse Grill is the signature restaurant in the main building. The Lido is located just above the beach and offers sophisticated oceanfront dining and the Blue Point restaurant offers casual dining beside the pool. The resort now offers a state of the art spa facility, a fitness centre with aerobic equipment, a hair and nail salon.
