In the late 1890's Mr. Norman Meldrum drove a herd of cattle from Colorado up to Buffalo, Wyoming where he had acquired some land. The cattle were wintered near the present Soldier's Home and summered in the upper meadow range of the Big Horns, which was to become Paradise Ranch.

Set in a stunning location at the base of the tallest mountains in the range, the ranch is presently owned by Clay & Leah Miller, their two sons, Cade and Travis, and their partners, Kevin & Rebecca McMahon from Colorado. With Clay & Leah as the onsite managers, they are committed to operating the ranch in fine western tradition by offering guests warm attentive hospitality, rustic elegance and exciting outdoor adventure.

The accommodation can best be described as "rustic elegance". One, two and three bedroom cabins are available. For some, vacation means just plain hangin' around the beautifully appointed log cabins - rustic and cozy with fireplaces and many modern conveniences. For most of the guests, however, their cabin is a comfortable sanctuary after a full day of fun.

All of the cabins have been recently renovated or newly built, and feature full baths, showers, kitchenettes, washers and dryers and unique western art. Each has an outdoor deck where you can relax and read, soak up the excitement of a ranch day, or enjoy the splendor of the evening while the shadows of the sunset dance up Fan Rock.

Summer here has extensive children's programs, with everything from overnight pack trips to a kids' rodeo, crafts, and pony rides as well as nature hikes. Adult programs involve sing-alongs, fancy barbecues with wine, gourmet meals, and square dances. The wranglers are very careful about matching riders to appropriate horses; multiday trips for veterans venture into the Bighorn National Forest and Cloud Peak Wilderness Area.

There is a one week min stay here and the ranch is Adult's Only for the month of September.

All meals/ranch activities included.
