That's Discovery Cove and it really is a one-of-a-kind animal adventure. You can explore caves, plunge through a majestic waterfall to discover a towering free-flight aviary full of brightly coloured exotic birds and relax as you lie on exquisite white-sand beaches. The concept is one of severely restricted numbers of visitors enjoying a personalised experience. Low numbers mean more time and space to enjoy, but inevitably fewer people means higher prices.
Expect to pay from £189 to include swimming with the dolphins, your snorkel gear, lunch and a full 14-day pass to sister attractions Sea World or Busch Gardens. It is also possible to experience Discovery Cove without the Dolphin swim, and prices are from £109.
Our Opinion
The lack of crowds made it a much more relaxing day than at a normal theme park and on we feel that for an enjoyable, educating and stimulating experience there is no better place than Discovery Cove. Yes, Discovery Cove is a premium-priced day out but overall it represents excellent value for money.
