Seattle Holidays
Urban myths abound in America, but no greater myth than the one that proclaims Seattle as a “rainy city”. Try engaging one of the locals over a cup of Starbucks’ coffee – a Seattle-based company – about the weather, and they will most happily tell you that they receive less rain than New York City, Miami, Boston and San Francisco!
But the delightful climate is just one of the factors that make a holiday to Seattle a great choice of destination. The natural beauty of the surroundings plus the relaxed and welcoming nature of the inhabitants have made major corporations such as the afore-mentioned Starbucks, Microsoft and Boeing choose to make Seattle and its suburbs home.
While you are on holiday in Seattle be sure to take a trip up the Space Needle. If modern music is your thing, Seattle is acknowledged as the birthplace of “Grunge”, so visit the Experience Music Project or any number of live music venues for a taste.
