Roswell's main appeal to tourists is that it was, according to some, the preferred arrival point for a UFO in 1947, when some sort of craft crashed out of the sky. Many believe that the craft contained extra-terrestrials but the US government maintains that it was a weather balloon. UFO Museums, UFO 'research facilities' and a frankly staggering array of other alien-themed attractions now dominates Roswell.

Roswell is conveniently located between Albuquerque and Carlsbad, is very easy to locate, even if you happen to be arriving from outer space!
