Orlando Villa Resorts and Homes
We are pleased to offer two ways to enjoy a ‘home-away-from-home’ holiday in Orlando. The first option is to stay in a PRIVATE HOME, the alternative is at a VILLA RESORT.
Private Homes
There will be a private pool (which can be heated for an extra charge) and a seating and barbeque area at the back of the property. Standards of décor and furnishings tend to be good and in neutral or pastel shades. Homes can be offered as Standard or Executive and the latter will offer superior furnishing and a somewhat higher specification in kitchens and bathrooms.
The normal homes layout will have a Master bedroom with double/king bedding with en suite bathroom. There are further bathrooms but except for the largest homes the other bedrooms are not likely to be en suite.
A kitchen/diner arrangement is common and will feature a well appointed kitchen with cooker, microwave and American-style fridge/freezer as standard. The size of the living area will be appropriate to the size of the home and furnished and equipped accordingly. This area will contain a TV as a minimum and may also include other home entertainment features.
Towels, bedding,
cooking utensils and cutlery are all provided and the property will be cleaned
in preparation for your arrival.
There will not be a cleaning service during your stay except by arrangement and at an extra charge. Occupation of the home is normally available from late afternoon on the day of arrival until 11am or 12noon on the day of departure.
Villa Resorts
The term ‘villa resort’ is our own expression to convey family-style, multi-bedroom living within a resort setting. On-site facilities are in line with those of a full service hotel and include restaurants and coffee shops, possibly a convenience store as well as front desk services. Outdoors there could be sports and leisure facilities possibly even on-site spa and fitness centre as well as large pool areas often including children’s pools with pool amenities, towels and refreshments available.
More so than with
private homes, facilities will vary depending on the overall size of the resort
and its price and star rating but our resort descriptions will be an accurate
guide to what you can expect.
Accommodations are modern and more lavishly appointed than in the typical home. Layouts, however, closely resemble those of a private home although the maximum number of bedrooms at a resort is normally four.
Some points to ponder between the private home and the villa resort:-
- Villa resorts are found in more central locations closer to the attractions and entertainments.
- The standard of accommodation is typically a little higher at a villa resort.
- A private home offers a smallish pool but it is yours and only yours.
- Villa resort public and pool areas are far more expansive but are available to other residents.
- You and your children can socialise with other guests at a villa resort or you may prefer the absolute privacy of a private home.
- The things you need are right at hand and often on-site at a villa resort whereas you would need to take a car journey when staying at a private home.
- Private homes are less expensive because of the lack of infrastructure and services.
