Daytona International Speedway
Daytona Beach is a great place to set your pulse racing. The Daytona International Speedway, the home of NASCAR, provides some of the most exciting motor sport in the world. Over ten weekends you can take in everything from 190 mph-plus NASCAR races – including the granddaddy of them all, the Daytona 500 – to 170 mph superbike and 125 mph go-kart competitions. The Speedway attracts some of the largest crowds in sport.
Sandwiched between the races are car shows, exhibitions, vehicle testing, and a variety of other heart-pounding events. And, if there's not a race going on when you visit, there are various interactive museums where you can put yourself in the pit and try to beat the best as you jack up a car, change tyres, and pump gas.
Or you can even get behind the wheel at the Daytona 500 Experience attraction and the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
