North America
Places to stay
Situated in north-west Arizona, this is where the Old West blends with the new.
The ranch opened in 2000 and caters for all levels of rider including the
disabled (the owners daughter has a disability, so thay have hands on experience).
The ranch is run by the Rynders family whose motto is '
you'll come as guests
and leave like family
'. There are 10 rooms in the ranch, all with
en-suite bathrooms and tasteful, modern Western-style décor. While you are here
you'll enjoy delicious home-cooked meals, as well as cookouts and breakfast
rides.
This isn't a working ranch, so the only livestock here are
horses and there are plenty of those. You can rest assured you'll be paired up with the
ideal horse according to your level of experience. Wranglers take riders out up
to twice a day (except Sun) on a variety of rides and excursions, depending on
your ability and experience. Not sure the whole party wants to ride a horse? No problem - mountain biking and hiking are also available and encouraged. Back at the ranch you can relax by the outdoor pool or
soak in the hot tub after a day in the saddle. Feeling active? Try your hand at the traditional game of horseshoe or hire go-karts.
Also available at the lodge for your entertainment: billiards table, TV room,
table tennis, basketball and a weekly games night.
Depending on the time of year, the evenings are spent enjoying occasional live cowboy music, line dancing and cookouts. On cooler evenings there will be a fire to sit around to toast marshmallows as you discuss the day's adventures.
