These rides are both educational and great fun for adults and kids alike. The rides are a beautiful way to experience the power and grace of these very special animals. Being whisked across the meadows and into the private forest trail system on a Winter's day by the power of friendly canine athletes. You will be invigorated and uplifted by the unique energy of these dogs.

2-3 Hour National Forest Tours

These are longer trips into the White Mountain National Forest trail systems, usually between 8-15 miles in length depending upon current snow conditions. These longer runs give the dogs a chance to really stretch out and cover some ground showing you their amazing athletic abilities, while allowing you more time to get up on the "runners" with your Musher Guide and learn how to handle and drive a large team of 10-14 good looking, great moving sled dogs. A relaxed outting into beautiful mountain scenery propelled by the power of dog.

The National Forest Trips are designed for folks who want to get into the art and beauty of Dogsledding and at the same time see some spectacular North-East mountain scenery.

From £265 per sled*

*Sled holds up to 3 people.

Tours depart from the Telemark Inn, Bethel, Maine.

2-3 DAY LEARN TO MUSH PACKAGES

These Mushing packages are one of the highest quality and most fun offered within the North Eastern United States.

• Learn how to run, manage, and care for a very athletic squadron of racing Alaskan Huskies - your dream vacation. We will start off the first day by running large teams of 10-14 dogs on a breathtakingly beautifully scenic 10 to 20 mile outing. You will be accompanied by a skilled Musher guide, to help you.

• Learn and develop the skills you will need to be able to run your own team over the next few days. The following days we will break these squadrons down into 4-6 dog teams (depending upon snow conditions), and if you have learned your skills well, you will be driving your own dog team through the winter mountainside trail system.

• These dogs are the real thing, winning genetics, highly trained and socialized, and the experience they offer you is a very authentic one.

• Each day here will include a half day of educational and fun dogsledding, with the other half day available for snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, downhill skiing, or just kicking back and relaxing at the lodge.

Learn to Mush packages include-3 hr dogsledding each day, choice of lodging at The Bethel Inn or the Telemark Inn (Maine), all meals and snowshoeing.
