Surf City, gonna have some fun.."
This famous surf song was written originally by Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame who passed it on to Dean Torrence (of Jan and Dean) to add key lyrics. After the song became a world-wide hit, DeanĀ moved to Huntington Beach and convinced the local officials to adopt the Surf City name for his new home town. They did.
