Take advantage of both sides of Florida; enjoy the fun and excitement of the thrilling theme parks then recharge your batteries on one of the fabulous Florida beaches.
There is no place on Earth quite like Orlando. From Disney to Universal and all things in between - it's a holiday to remember. It's exhausting though, so we recommend pairing 5-7 nights in the theme parks - then the same again on a sandy Florida beach. Take your choice of the 35 miles of white sands in Clearwater; driving the Overseas Highway and exploring the Florida Keys; soaking up the sun-drenched Gulf of Mexico beaches in Naples; or the mix of beach with eclectic Sarasota.

Start your holiday with the fun and excitement that Florida has to offer. The theme parks and attractions are everywhere in Orlando offering great experiences and enduring memories for the whole family and kids of all ages. By night, the theme parks offer sophisticated and varied dining and entertainment options. Disney Springs (the new, upmarket Downtown Disney) and Universal CityWalk offer a wide range of shops, themed bars and restaurants. Have a lovely meal or dance the night away. No matter how many times you visit Orlando, you'll get a completely different holiday experience to the last one - that's how much they strive to keep it fresh and interesting.
Now it's time for some proper R&R! We've come up with four separate beach possibilities. Each area offers blue waters, plenty of sand and wonderful resort options. But, each has its own personality and unique experiences. Luckily, we've been to all of them and can help you decide which suits you best. OR we can create an itinerary that includes them all - that's what we'd do!
The beaches of the Clearwater area are where you will want to be if miles and miles of sugary white sand sounds good to you. Logistically, this is closest to Orlando with a drive under two hours.
Enjoy top-rated beaches including Fort De Soto Park and Caladesi Island State Park plus an abundance of activities including world-class golf, kayaking and canoeing through mangrove trails, or cycling the 43-mile long Pinellas Trail. Shop stylish boutiques and dine in outdoor bistros taking full advantage of an area which holds the Guinness World Record for the longest consecutive run of sunshine days. And don't miss the nightly sunset celebrations at Pier 60.
When it's less about beach time and more about drive time - The Overseas Highway is a one-of-a-kind experience. Since the 1950s, this 113 mile journey has been the main coastal highway between Miami and and Key West - the most southern point in America. The exotic roadway is an engineering marvel and allows you access to the largest area of coral reefs on the US mainland. You'll pass over an astonishing 42 bridges, including the iconic Seven Mile Bridge, and stopping often for photos is pretty much mandatory.
This kind of drive has to be done in a convertible....flip back the top, slap on the sunscreen, crank up the tunes and let the scenery take over.
Naples is the crown jewel of Southwest Florida, nestled on the sun drenched beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Known for world class shopping, exceptional dining and abundant golf the area also promises miles of sugary sand and warm, calm waters.
Cycle safe, flat pathways or mooch the coffee shops, galleries and one-of-a-kind boutiques of Olde Naples. Dine alfresco at waterfront eateries or take a boat trip to spy on the multi-million dollar homes of the rich and renowned.
Sarasota is an eclectic collection of culture, beach and circus. The area encompasses Sarasota Bay and several barrier islands between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The islands are referred to as keys and include the likes of Longboat, Lido and Siesta Key, all renowned for being amongst the best sandy beaches in the world. Don't forget to visit St. Armand's Circle - the vision of its founder, circus magnate, John Ringling. The circle is adorned with statuary, from Ringling's personal collection along with boutiques, fun shops and restaurants.
